About

A Melbourne
kitchen, on the move.

The Urban Entertaining kitchen in Cremorne

Urban Entertaining began in a Cremorne warehouse in 2014 with a single wood oven and a stubborn belief: catering didn’t have to mean compromise.

A decade on, we’re a tight team of chefs, stylists and front-of-house who cook for hundreds of Melbourne events a year — weddings in the Yarra Valley, launches in the CBD, quiet dinners in people’s homes. What hasn’t changed is the kitchen at the centre of it.

We shop the markets weekly, build every menu from scratch, and treat your event like the only one on the calendar. No reheated trays. No corner-cutting. Just food worth gathering for.

What we believe

Four house rules

01

Season over everything

If it isn’t at its best this week, it doesn’t make the menu.

02

Cook it ourselves

From stocks to ice cream, made in-house from raw produce.

03

Service you don’t notice

Warm, calm and precise — the room should feel after us, not watch us.

04

Leave it better

Spotless kitchens, sorted recycling, food donated where we can.
